Former Superior Linen COO Passes Away

Daniel R. Lopez, 89, passed away at home on April 1 in Broken Arrow, OK. He spent 35 years at Superior Linen Service, Tulsa, OK, where he retired as the company’s COO in 2004.

Lopez was born April 7, 1926, in Paint Rock, TX, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He started his lifelong career in the linen business in San Antonio, TX, and then Springdale, AR, where he met the love of his life.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Geraldine (Jean) Lopez; four children: daughters Sandra (David) Green; Cindy (Mike) Proctor; Carla (Kevin) English; and son Richard (Leslie) Lopez; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Vicente Lopez, mother Estella Maggie Lopez, sister Lorene Langbein, sister Dorothy Howard, brother Lesley Logan, daughter Janet Louise Henderson, and grandson Ethan Cole English.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa or your local chapter are suggested, as well as making a blood donation to your local Red Cross.
