Gildred a Finalist for Most Admired CEO Award

Emerald Textiles recently announced that the company’s CEO, Tom Gildred, was named a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO awards. The annual award recognizes local industry leaders who have taken the lead in driving their business and the local economy. This is Gildred’s second nomination as a finalist; he won the SDBJ Most Admired CEO award in 2011, according to a news release.

“It is quite an honor to be recognized as a finalist with this group of executives who are leading San Diego’s business community,” Gildred said. “One of the most exciting aspects of this event is the opportunity to hear from other leaders who are making an impact in our city, and I am very pleased to represent Emerald Textiles on behalf of our entire team.”

The Most Admired CEO Awards event will be held on Feb. 18 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, San Diego. Winners will be announced in various categories, such as public company, privately held company, nonprofit, government agency and education.
