Gurtler Hosts Global Sales Conference
More than 75 sales and service management team members from Gurtler Industries Inc. recently gathered for the company’s biennial global sales and service meeting in Schererville, IN, outside Chicago, according to a news release.
The Gurtler representatives included staff from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia. A key focus of the meeting was a discussion of the company’s newly developed corporate philosophy, dubbed: “The Gurtler Advantage: SERVICE · INNOVATION· PEOPLE.”
Another meeting highlight was a customer panel in which four laundry operators from different sectors of the textile services industry exchanged views on service, innovation and people and how these factors affect their businesses, vendors and customers. The panelists included: Jim Buik, The Roscoe Co., Chicago (Buik is also vice chair of TRSA); Bonnie Kornota, Best Hand Laundry, Chicago; Scott Reppert, Superior Health Linens, Madison, WI; and John Tayler, Alsco Inc., Chicago. The meeting included an open forum that gave the Gurtler representatives insights on what was “top of mind” among the panelists.
The three-day event also included technical training for attendees that focused on improving service capabilities and sharing information on new innovative products and services.
