Bobby Floyd, CEO of HHS LLC, a privately held support services company, announced today its acquisition of Foussard Montague Associates Inc. (FMA), a laundry and linen management company. FMA founding owners, Phil Foussard and Tim Montague, will remain in their current roles as key leaders of the FMA organization, which will operate as an autonomous division under the HHS umbrella. The two companies expect the transaction to close on Dec. 1.

HHS (formerly Hospital Housekeeping Systems), Dripping Springs, TX, and FMA are private, family-owned companies that have been in business for several decades. HHS was established in Austin, TX, in 1975 and currently services more than 400 hospitals. FMA, founded in 1989 in St. Paul, MN, currently operates seven laundry plants servicing more than 170 hospitals nationwide. Both companies have a large presence in the healthcare industry and have worked together in the past serving mutual customers. The acquisition of FMA will add laundry plant management to HHS’ current suite of healthcare offerings that include environmental services, food and nutrition services, facilities management, patient transport, valet and linen-utilization management.

“We believe our respective organizations share a similar culture and mission in our dedication to our people and the quality of the services we provide,” said HHS CEO Bobby Floyd. “We have developed a deep respect and admiration for the FMA team and its reputation in the industry, and we are excited to welcome them into our company. This acquisition launches HHS into a new market, with expanded capabilities and resources available to serve our healthcare customers and brings new opportunities for our people to grow.”

Phil Foussard expands on the acquisition, adding that, “Tim Montague and I have known the principals of HHS for over 25 years and have always had great respect for their employee focus and the way they approach their business. As we looked at the possible alternatives for the future of our firm, we found HHS to be the best possible partner for our team and customers. The depth of HHS in the areas of training, staff development and technology will allow our firm to enhance our current services and grow in the future. We are very excited about the opportunities that this transaction will provide our staff and customers.”

Founded in 1975, HHS began as a hospital housekeeping organization with a single customer. Today, HHS has expanded to provide multiple support services, including housekeeping, food and facilities to more than 750 customers across six industries – aviation, education, government, healthcare, hospitality and senior living. As a privately held company with nearly 20,000 employees, HHS is committed to creating customized solutions that best fit the needs of each customer.
