Dennis Davin, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), recently toured Paris Healthcare Linen Services’ processing plant in DuBois, PA. The tour was the culmination of a Paris Cos. visit to the state capitol in Harrisburg earlier in the year, and a previous meeting with Secretary Davin regarding economic opportunities for companies such as Paris that provide essential services to Pennsylvania’s hospitals and other healthcare providers, according to a news release.

David Stern, president and CEO of Paris Cos.; along with Jason McCoy, CFO; Sharon Engle, human services; and Randy Rosetti, vice president of Paris Healthcare, hosted the Nov. 28 tour, the release said.

The DCED provides training, technical assistance and financial resources in support of sustainable economic development initiatives across the commonwealth. DCED became aware of Paris Cos. because of two recent expansions at its healthcare plants and the completion of its 38th consecutive year of revenue growth in 2016. At the same time, Paris demonstrated that it takes sustainability seriously, having received TRSA’s Clean Green Sustainability Award in 2015 and being a recipient of a competitive Pennsylvania grant for converting part of its truck fleet to alternative-motor fuels.

“These achievements mark Paris Cos. as a worthy partner in DCED’s mission of shared prosperity for all Pennsylvanians while practicing sound resource management and environmental stewardship,” Stern said. “We look forward to working with Secretary Davin and the DCED to keep Paris as an engine for economic progress in our rural Pennsylvania communities.”

Paris Cos. is a privately-owned, independent company providing textile and linen-management services to hospitals and other healthcare organizations. Paris also provides custom uniform rental programs and laundering services to industrial and commercial markets. The company services more than 3,500 customers in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and West Virginia with an expanding service area in the mid-Atlantic region.
