Homeless in Hawaii – Laundry Aids Housing Effort

Despite a strong economy, many cities, such as Honolulu, are grappling with a growing problem of homelessness – fueled in part by a lack of affordable housing for families in which one or more persons work – but still can’t afford housing, according to news reports.

In response to this issue, a local business leader, working with government and private-sector groups, including TRSA member United Laundry Services, is developing an initiative aimed at providing affordable housing units in Honolulu. Click here to read the full report.
