Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, Milwaukee, recently announced that its Wisconsin Hospitality Linen Service (WHLS) business unit completed a $2.3 million expansion that will enable it to double its current capacity. WHLS provides commercial laundry services for Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Wisconsin properties, as well as for other hotels in the Midwest, according to a news release.

“WHLS currently processes approximately 10 million pounds of linen each year, including sheets, towels and restaurant linens,” said Tom Mason, senior vice president of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, who oversees WHLS operations. “The new equipment, including an additional washer, dryers and finishing lines, will position us to double our capacity over the next five years.”

WHLS has provided commercial laundry services for the hospitality industry for more than 20 years. The business was founded by Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 1995 and has operated at its current 32,000-square-foot facility near the Milwaukee airport since 2001.
