Steve Radloff recently retired after four decades as a route service representative for CITY Laundering Co., Oelwein, IA. Radloff started at CITY on Aug. 18, 1975, and his last day was Jan. 11.

“Steve has been one of our most consistent and dependable employees who always put his customers first,” said Colin Wetlaufer, president of CITY. “He solved all problems through to completion, and he took ownership of everything. He was looked at as a leader and a great co-worker. I wish Steve good luck in his retirement.”

Radloff was often the go-to person for training new representatives. After having trained Route Apprentice Chris Boesker for a few months, Boesker has taken over Radloff’s route.

“Steve trusts that Chris will do a good job. He is not one to leave without knowing that his customers are going to be taken care of,” said Ken Schnor, service manager at CITY. “He will be greatly missed. He has always owned everything in his job, and he’s never shied away from anything. He really helped me personally in my career. He taught me everything you’re supposed to do to have a successful route. I owe him a lot.”

During Radloff’s time at CITY, he greatly impacted his fellow co-workers by being a leader on the service team and a person who was looked up to by others. His peers voted Radloff as the 2017 Route Service Representative of the Year.

“Steve did a great job and took care of his customers and the company,” said Corey Ruff, Radloff’s district manager at CITY. “Steve was the ideal route service representative.”
