Lavartex Announces Merger with SEAO

Lavartex, S.A.P.I. de C.V., Mexico’s leading textile services provider, recently announced a merger with national rival, Servicios Estrella Azul de Occidente S.A. De C.V. (SEAO), according to a news release.

“We are very pleased to announce this merger that will allow us to significantly expand our geographic presence in Mexico and give better and more complete service to our clients through combined talent and production capabilities and distribution centers, as well as the experience of our shareholders,” said Jose Luis Jacques Pérez, director general of Lavartex.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Both companies offer healthcare, hospitality; food and beverage (F&B) services; and industrial textile programs to customers across Mexico.

SEAO operates plants in: Chihuahua, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Tlaxcala as well as distribution centers in Leon, Irapuato, Morelia, Tampico and Villahermosa. Each of these facilities is equipped with cutting-edge technology and all are certified by TRSA’s Hygienically Clean program and other industry certifications, the release said.
