Bates Troy Healthcare Linen Services, a laundry operator based in Binghamton, NY, recently was honored as a “Business of the Week” by local Chamber of Commerce officials.

Founded in 2007, the program, sponsored by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, selects a local business to spotlight for one week, i.e., Monday-Friday. Benefits include a personal visit from chamber representatives, a weeklong display of a sign prominently announcing the company’s designation as a Business of the Week, a photo session and an announcement on the Chamber’s website. A local TV station, WIVT/WBGH, also films a segment on the company as part of the program. The news item on Bates Troy is expected to air shortly.

“We are really honored to be recognized as Business of the Week by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce” said Bates Troy President Brian Kradjian. “We have been one of their older members for 50-plus years and truly enjoy their contributions to the business community and its members.”

Colleen Shanahan, membership and event coordinator for the Chamber, said the program provides an opportunity to showcase business members and demonstrate the Chamber’s appreciation for their support of the organization.

“Bates Troy has been a member of our Chamber for 56 years,” Shanahan said. “We strongly believe when our businesses thrive, our entire community thrives. Not to mention their community involvement in events like the Southern Tier Heart Walk, as well as programs such as the Goodwill Theater, Coats for Kids and Tri-Cities Opera.” These volunteer efforts enhance the products and services that companies like Bates Troy provide to customers and communities across the region.
