Miller’s Textile Services (MTS), Wapakoneta, OH, recently received a “Large Business of the Year Award” from the local Chamber of Commerce, according to news reports.

Several other local businesses in various categories, such as “Emerging Business of the Year,” also were honored during a Nov. 12 banquet/ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. The program drew more than 400 attendees from this city of just under 10,000 residents.

“Miller’s Textile Services was presented with the Large Business of the Year Award because of the significant role it has played in the community over more than 70 years through advancing business, bettering its employees and promoting charitable events and quality of life,” the reports said.

The award also had the backing of members of the Ohio House of Representatives. A proclamation from that body commemorating MTS’s selection as Large Business of the Year – as well as its many years of service to the community – also was presented to MTS.

MTS Operations Manager Andrew Thornbury told Textile Services Weekly that the award represents an important milestone in the company’s drive for excellence. “Miller’s Textile Services is looking forward to the next 70 years of continuing to realize our vision – to be the region’s most reliable textile service partner.”

Thornbury commended the company’s staff for their efforts toward achieving that goal. “Thank you to everyone for your hard work and dedication to ensuring that MTS continues to be an organization with which our customers, employees and community are proud to partner.” Click here for details.
