Mary Steinke, a 42-year veteran of the linen, uniform and facility services industry and Huebsch Services, recently said that she’s stepping down from her post as general manager for the industrial uniform and facility services launderer based in Eau Claire, WI.

“It has been very rewarding to be a part of helping Huebsch Services change and grow over the past 42 years,” Steinke said in a news release. “As general manager, I have been fortunate to have had the ability to work with the entire Huebsch team in all departments and all aspects of the business.

Huebsch has named Aaron Kasper as operations manager for the 126-year-old company, the release said. Kasper joined Huebsch in December and has spent January learning the production operations side of the business from Steinke. He previously worked in restaurant management, most recently as general manager for the Darden-affiliated Olive Garden restaurant in Eau Claire.
“I am excited to join the Huebsch team as operations manager,” Kasper said. “It will not be an easy task to fill the role of Mary, who has led the team. I am honored to have been chosen to be part of a family-owned company that has been able to continue to be viable and successful in this industry for such a long time. I am looking forward to the challenges that this industry provides and being part of the Huebsch future.”

Huebsch President and CEO Jim Vaudreuil thanked Steinke for her many years of service to the company, adding that she will continue in a consultative role. “We want to congratulate Mary on her retirement,” Vaudreuil said. “She started with us as a part-time production employee 42 years ago and finished her career as general manager. We will miss her daily presence at the plant, but are also looking forward to working with her in a new capacity as a consultant and adviser. She will continue to foster relationships in the community, while sharing with us her industry knowledge and best practices.”

Steinke also has a long record of involvement with local charitable organizations, including the United Way, Boys and Girls Clubs, the Eau Claire YMCA and others.
