Aladco Linen Services, Adams, MA, recently sold its rental business to private independent investors. James Gutheim & Associates, Encino, CA, served as the financial adviser in the sale, according to a news release.

Aladco was founded in 1953 by Arthur H. Brown and grew from a “wet-wash” plant to an organization serving western Massachusetts, southern Vermont and eastern Connecticut. David R. Desmarais purchased Aladco from the Brown family in June 2005 and is the company president.

In 2008, after acquiring Highland Laundry, Aladco opened a distribution location in Holyoke, MA, which improved the company’s services along the Interstate 91 corridor all the way to the metropolitan area of Hartford, CT.
