Milnor Partners with Weir for UK Distribution

Pellerin Milnor Corp., Kenner, LA, recently announced an agreement with H.J. Weir Engineering, Bulwark, England, that designates the latter company as Milnor’s exclusive authorized partner in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland for the sale of its batch washers and other laundry machinery products, according to a news release.

The deal, announced on June 5, the opening day of the Clean Show in Las Vegas, means that Weir now is the sole, exclusive distributor for Milnor products throughout the British Isles. Milnor President Jim Pellerin said he believes the agreement will benefit both companies and the laundry industry at large.

“Together we will tackle such opportunities in the UK as have been met throughout the world by Milnor products, such as PulseFlow® batch tunnel washers,” said Pellerin. “We are confident this new relationship will be found to offer value appreciated by UK laundry professionals.”

For Weir, the Milnor agreement is the second such deal it’s reached this year with a laundry equipment manufacturer. Weir, itself a manufacturer of flatwork finishing equipment, recently closed a similar agreement with ironer manufacturer Laco Machinery NV of Belgium.
