Mission Linen Supply, Santa Barbara, CA, recently named Mark Pfeiffer as its new purchasing director, according to a news release.

With more than 15 years of customer service and purchasing experience in leadership roles at companies such as Whole Foods, World Market and Zones, Pfeiffer brings diverse buying expertise – as well as an expansive knowledge of technology and consumables – to his new position, the release said.

“At Mission, we strive to provide a diverse selection of high-quality products, and our purchasing department plays a critical role in ensuring we continue to meet our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations,” said Mission President and CEO John Ross. “Mark’s talent, knowledge and expertise will be a huge asset to our company as we continue to look for new ways to improve our product offerings and customer service.”

As purchasing director, Pfeiffer will oversee the company’s purchasing department, working closely with Mission’s operations teams and vendors to ensure that all purchases promote customer satisfaction and align with the company’s overall business strategy.

To aid in the transition, Pfeiffer’s predecessor, Curtis Lopez, will remain with the company through March, according to a separate news release.

Lopez, a 25-year industry veteran, is retiring after holding a variety of jobs with Mission. He began as a management trainee, and later served as general manager at several plants, including facilities in North Hollywood, Ventura and Santa Barbara, CA, before he advanced to the post of purchasing director. “Through it all he has been a tremendous asset to our team,” said Tony Mancuso, vice president/CFO. “Please join us in wishing Curtis all the best, and in offering Mark (Pfeiffer) a heartfelt congratulations.”
