New York City Clean Act Meeting – SAVE THE DATE

Posted December 16, 2016 at 11:25 am

The New York City Clean Act adds licensing requirements for linen and uniform supply launderers serving customers in New York City.

TRSA has scheduled a meeting with the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs at 10 a.m., Jan. 11, 2017, Eastern Standard Time (EST) in order for the industry to gain a better understanding of the licensing process and the bill’s requirements. The exact location will be announced soon, however the meeting will occur in the City Hall area of New York City. SAVE THE DATE.

While the bill places regulations on the industrial laundry industry, the version passed by the City Council is significantly better in terms of compliance issues than the original version introduced last year.

This is your opportunity to get your questions answered. If you are impacted by this law, please make every effort to attend – Jan. 11 at 10:00 a.m.

Contact Kevin Schwalb, TRSA’s vice president of government affairs with any questions:  kschwalb@trsa.org.
