Paris Healthcare Linen Services recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate a 17,000-square-foot expansion of its Ravenna, OH, plant. This public event on April 7 drew scores of employees and guests, as well as local officials who came to celebrate the plant’s steady growth since the early 2000s.

“We’re approaching 15 wonderful years of history in Ravenna, and we’ll have well over 250 employees and their families as part of the Paris Ravenna Healthcare family,” said Paris President and CEO David Stern. “It’s been a great partnership.”

Joining Stern to help cut the ceremonial ribbon was Brandon Casteel, a Paris production associate who was named as the company’s 2016 employee of the year. Others included Mayor Frank Seman of Ravenna and Ryann Kuchenbecker, executive director of the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce.

The plant expansion was completed in late 2016 and the new facility is now servicing customers in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, the release said. Paris expects to add 50 new jobs to the plant when operations reach full capacity.

ARCO/Murray served as the turnkey designer for the project. The expansion not only adds capacity, but it improves operational flexibility and efficiency, the release said. Overall, Paris has added 150,000 square feet of new construction at several locations since 2004.

Equipment and service vendors supplying the new plant include Chicago Dryer Co., E-Tech, G.A. Braun Inc., Gurtler Industries Inc., JENSEN USA, PAC Industries and Pellerin Milnor Corp.
