Penn Holds Dress Down Fundraiser
During October, Penn Emblem Co., Philadelphia, encouraged its employees to dress down on any day of the week and make a donation toward breast cancer research. The fundraising effort led to the collection of $2,610 in employee contributions. Penn donated this money to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, according to a news release.
“We support our mothers, sisters, daughters and everyone else affected by this disease in their fight,” Penn Emblem said in the release. “One in eight women will develop breast cancer in 2014. October was breast cancer awareness month and Penn Emblem Co. does not go without supporting a great cause.”
