TRSA associate member SanMar Corp. recently released its 2017 Corporate Responsibility Report, titled Knitting Together a Better World. Focused on three key categories – people, products and planet – Knitting Together a Better World highlights how SanMar’s family values are woven into everything the company does, according to a news release.

“We’re excited to share these stories of how we choose to do the right thing everyday,” said Jeremy Lott, SanMar president. “‘Making a difference’ isn’t just one of our SanMar family values, it’s a huge part of who we are and what we stand for as a company. We take great pride in our accomplishments so far and look forward to continuing to make improvements in our responsibility efforts.”

The report outlines SanMar’s commitment to the people who create, ship and sell its apparel and accessories; the quality and sustainable products that are ethically and responsibly sourced; and its efforts to do the right thing for the planet. Highlights in Knitting Together a Better World include examples of SanMar employees giving back to their communities, a focus on supply chain sustainably and a reduction in energy used at the company’s home office and distribution centers.

Knitting Together a Better World also includes SanMar’s 2020 goals to drive change. It’s important for the company to continue to make improvements and enhance its focus on making a difference in local communities and around the world, the release said. Knitting Together a Better World is available on sanmar.com.

A family owned and operated business since 1971, SanMar is based in Issaquah, WA, with eight national distribution centers.
