Scholarship Founded in Honor of Late Riegel CEO

Lion Equity Partners, the parent company of TRSA supplier partner Riegel Linen LLC, recently established a scholarship at the University of South Carolina in honor of the late Riegel Linen CEO Bill Josey.

In a letter announcing the scholarship, Chris Gowdy, the vice president of sales at Riegel Linen, spoke of Josey’s impact as a mentor and friend. “On a personal note, Bill was someone that I talked to every day. And due to COVID, I saw him every day on Zoom or Teams meetings. Not a day goes by where I don’t want to pick up the phone and call Bill with some good news, or something I need help with, or just to talk about football or family. To say he is missed would be the biggest understatement of my life.”

Josey’s wife, Marilyn, will be involved with the annual award, dubbed the Bill Josey Scholarship. If you’d like to contribute to the scholarship fund, the details are listed below:
