Softrol Reorganizes Sales Staff

Softrol Systems Inc., Acworth, GA, recently appointed of Helmut Harfmann to the position of vice president of operations. In addition to Harfmann’s hiring, Softrol also reorganized its sales team with an eye on growth and expansion, according to a news release.

Harfmann has been involved in operations management in various companies serving the textile manufacturing and textile services industry for 40 years. He most recently served as the vice president – manufacturing and the vice president – service for Jensen Group in his 16-year career with that company. Harfmann also has prior experience as an operations executive with Lavatec and G.A. Braun.

“Helmut brings with him a wealth of operations management experience that will help strengthen our ability to service our core marketplace and customers, as well as position us for continued growth,” said Softrol President/Owner Brent Keith.

In addition, the company retooled its sales staff with Andre Blanc, sales director, overseeing major national/corporate accounts and Matt Lewis, sales manager, taking over the company’s growing independent market. Blanc has more than 30 years in the domestic and international laundry and hospitality sectors, having spent most of that time with Ecolab. Lewis is active with several industry associations and has been a participant in TRSA’s “Emerging Leaders Roundtable.” Jon Kim also was promoted with expanded duties and added marketing responsibilities as Softrol’s business development associate.
