Spouses and significant others are being invited to join their partners in Washington, DC, for the 13th Annual Legislative Conference, scheduled for March 22-23. This year the conference falls during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Wednesday, March 22, is a free day to take advantage of Washington DC’s memorials and museums. Stroll the Tidal Basin, the focal point of the Cherry Blossom Festival, which serves as the central meeting point for visits to many of the city’s most iconic monuments.

After a day of sightseeing or shopping there will be a Meet and Greet from 4:30-5:30 p.m. EDT for attendees’ guests to get acquainted and reconnect while conference attendees complete their afternoon program and Hill Day Briefing. All guests and attendees will convene for the Industry Awards Reception and Dinner to celebrate and recognize the exemplary efforts of employees and leaders of TRSA member companies.

The following morning breakfast for all will be served at the Capitol Hill Club and spouse/significant others will be transported to Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens for a private tour. Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, known as the Jewel of the Capitol, covers a sprawling 25 acres of coveted property. The estate was purchased in 1955 and fully renovated by Marjorie Merriweather Post, heiress to the Post cereal fortune.  The Hillwood Museum features the fullest and most exquisite collection of Russian imperial pieces outside of Russia, including a stunning collection of Faberge eggs. The last private owner of the Hope Diamond, Mrs. Post’s impressive jewelry collection also is on display at her estate.

Following the private tour of the mansion, guests will enjoy a tea service at the Hillwood Café before the group will rejoin TRSA Hill Day attendees at the Capitol Hill Club for lunch.
