Superior Exec. Gets CFO of the Year Award

Superior Group of Companies Inc. (SGC), Seminole, FL, recently announced that its CFO Andy Demott was named the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2018 CFO of the Year in the Large Company category, according to a news release.

A total of 20 Tampa Bay-area CFOs were selected as candidates for the 2018 CFO of the Year award. Demott was chosen as the winner by an independent panel of judges, who were tasked with evaluating the nominees’ business acumen, prior year achievements and community impact.

“We are thrilled that the Tampa Bay Business Journal recognized Andy’s extraordinary contribution to our company,” said Michael Benstock, CEO of Superior Group of Companies. “His executive leadership, financial acumen, M&A expertise and tireless work ethic are integral to our success. Andy embodies the selfless, hardworking culture we have built at SGC and is incredibly deserving of this honor.”

Demott said that, “This award reflects the success and contributions of our entire team here at SGC. I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for all that they have done to help our team earn this wonderful recognition.”

Demott was not in attendance at the award ceremony as he was conducting planning meetings with SGC’s newest acquisition, CID Resources.
