Textile Services magazine recently was recognized with an “APEX Award of Excellence” in the category of print magazines and journals of 32 pages or more. This is the seventh consecutive year the magazine has earned this honor.

“We’re happy to have our magazine honored once again for delivering high-quality news and information to our readers in the linen, uniform and facility services industry,” said Senior Editor Jack Morgan.

Now in its 29th year, the APEX Awards program is sponsored by the editors of Writers’ Web Watch, which is published by Communications Concepts Inc., a consulting firm for media professionals. Communications Concepts helps publishing, PR and marketing professionals improve their publications and communications programs.

The APEX awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry – as determined by the judges – in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. The panel of judges includes John De Lellis, Concepts’ editor and publisher; Kenneth J. Turtoro, noted circulation executive and marketing director with the New York agency, Shain+Oringer; Christine Turner, contributing editor of the Writing That Works Archives; and Bill Londino, consulting editor of Writer’s Web Watch.

This international competition drew roughly 1,400 entries in an array of categories. Of these, 543 Awards of Excellence were given in 100 categories, such as magazines, newsletters and annual reports. To learn more about the APEX Award program, click here.
