Laundry operators basking in the afterglow of the Clean Show earlier this month should take note – another highly competitive global exhibition is in the works – Texcare Asia, slated for Sept. 27-29 in Shanghai.

“I am happy to learn the fair has received tremendous feedback from many key industry players,” said Richard Li, general manager of show producer, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. “It also reflected the unparalleled position of the fair in the fast-developing textile care industry in Asia. Moving to its ninth edition, the fair will continue to be a one-stop sourcing and networking platform for the Asian community.”

Texcare Asia has drawn strong support from the global market since its launch last November, according to a news release. Numerous key supplier companies including Girbau, JENSEN and Kannegiesser already have confirmed their participation and others are signing up quickly. The exhibition at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre is expected to include more than 20,000 square meters (215,278 square feet) of booth space for some 160 exhibiting companies. Messe Frankfurt predicts that Texcare Asia will draw roughly 11,000 attendees for this three-day event.

Like the Clean Show, Texcare Asia exhibitors will emphasize high-efficiency energy and laborsaving innovations in machinery, systems, chemicals, textiles and other products on the show floor aimed at meeting the demands of laundry operators in Asia and worldwide, the release said.

TRSA President and CEO Joseph Ricci is expected to attend the show as a forum for continuing talks with Chinese operators about TRSA’s Hygienically Clean certification program. The meetings in Shanghai will serve as a follow-up to discussions that Ricci had with a Chinese delegation during the Clean Show. TRSA Chairman David Potack and Bill Mann, a program inspector, will accompany Ricci during the talks with Chinese operators, who are seeking to enhance self-regulation in order to ensure compliance with a new law passed on June 1 that calls for enhanced infection control.
