Textile Services magazine recently was recognized for excellence in editorial content and graphic design with a Gold Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (MarCom).

“We’re delighted to see the staff’s work in writing, designing and publishing our monthly magazine recognized for the service that it provides to TRSA members and the textile services industry at large,” said Senior Editor Jack Morgan. “Maintaining that high standard will require a continued team effort in 2015 and beyond. We look forward to that challenge.”

The MarCom association includes several thousand creative professionals, a small number of whom serve as judges for the group’s annual competition, which recognizes print and online publications in dozens of categories, including trade association magazines. The MarCom association oversees the awards program and sets standards for excellence in each category, according to a news release.

This year’s judges reviewed more than 6,500 entries from across the United States and Canada, as well as 15 other countries as part of the 2014 competition. Of those, only about 23% earned the Gold Award, which goes to those organizations that exceed the industry’s high standards, the release said.
