TRSA Chair Shares Perspective on Global DEI Webinar

TRSA recently partnered with several international linen, uniform and facility services industry associations to present a webinar on diversity, equity and inclusion issues in the industry. The 90-minute presentation, titled “Gender and Diversity in the Textile Care Industry: Let’s Have a Conversation,” featured TRSA Chair Noël Hammer Richardson.

Richardson shared her experience on being the first female chair of TRSA in the 108-year history of the association, as well as being the CEO and owner of Shasta Linen Supply, Sacramento, CA. In addition to Richardson, other speakers included Elena Lai, ETSA secretary-general; David Stevens, TSA CEO; Dr. Maren Otte, CWS director of corporate communications & corporate responsibility; and Adrian Walcott and Martin Roach from Brands with Values.

The following topics were discussed during the webinar:

  • Improving opportunities in leadership for women, shattering the glass ceiling and moving forward
  • Combating discrimination and promoting equality in the workplace
