TRSA Webinar: Creating a Quality-Assurance Manual
TRSA recently held an hour-long webinar titled “Creating a Quality-Assurance (QA) Manual.” The presentation detailed the steps to completing a quality-assurance inspection in your linen, uniform and facility services plant, and how to set up your company’s QA manual.
The webinar was co-hosted by Laundry Design Group LLC CEO Bob Corfield; Unitex Corporate Safety Director Charles Edelman; and HandCraft Services Inc. Quality Control and Janitorial Manager Carlos Iniguez. The webinar kicked off with tips on how to do the initial qualification, with steps including:
- Pulling a sample
- Labeling the sample
- Including the chain of custody and your purchase order
The webinar also featured advice on how to create a quality-assurance manual, with suggestions to have:
- A plan for organizing the manual
- Easy-reference tabs
- A table of contents in the beginning
- Compliance with OSHA regulations
