Harley riders and other motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to rev up for a worthy cause later this month when the “Ride the Bases” charitable event takes place at the Spokane (WA) Indians baseball park on July 31.

The program is designed to raise money for the Rypien Foundation, a charitable group based in Spokane. The foundation was established by Ex-Washington Redskin Mark Rypien, who was born in Calgary, Canada, but raised in Spokane. The former Super Bowl MVP quarterback is focused on helping families affected by childhood cancer. Rypien lost a three-year-old son to cancer, and the eponymous foundation is dedicated to providing support and programs to help children overcome the disease. TRSA Member U.S. Linen and Uniform is a key sponsor of the fundraiser, along with other local businesses.

The ride around the bases event will begin at 10 a.m. at Lone Wolf Harley Davidson in Spokane, where riders will assemble for a trek around the area that concludes at 1:30 p.m. with a buffet lunch at the Indians’ stadium. At 3:10 p.m., riders will roll onto the field for a pre-game rally and ride around the bases. The playing of the National Anthem will follow, and the game’s first pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. as the Indians take on the Everett Aquasox. To learn more, click here.
