UniFirst Acquires Canadian Rival

UniFirst Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA; recently announced the acquisition of Canadian rival, McGuire Uniforms, Mississauga, Ontario.

The merger represents a combination of two of the largest suppliers of direct-purchase programs in Canada, according to a news release. For UniFirst, the acquisition will nearly double its current direct-purchase program.
