UniFirst Polo Wins Design Award
UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA, recently was named as the winner of the “Best Polo” award in the 2014 Wearables Apparel Design Awards, according to a news release.
The shirt, dubbed “UniSport™” is a high-performance, high-image line of micro pique polo shirts. Entries were judged on design appeal, wearability and overall look, with a final round of online voting open to the public. The UniSport polo will be featured in February’s issue of Wearables magazine.
“This award is an incredible honor, especially given the tough competition,” said Adam Soreff, director of marketing and communications at UniFirst. “We’ve seen increasing demand for more casual workwear options for both men and women that consistently look and feel great, while maintaining the professional benefits of a managed uniform program.”
The UniSport polos are available in a variety of color options that allow businesses to enhance their branding and employee-image initiatives, Soreff said. Customers can order the shirts as part of a rental program or through direct sale. The polos feature UniWick moisture-management technology for maximum breathability and comfort.
