UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA, recently opened a 34,000-square-foot Corporate Support Services Center that represents a vision of the company’s late President and CEO Ron Croatti, according to a news release. Croatti passed away last year.

“Ron’s goal was to design a facility that provided the best possible service to UniFirst customers throughout North American,” said Albert Hinojosa, general manager for the $8 million facility in San Antonio. “We have certainly brought Ron’s vision to life and couldn’t be prouder of our new center that will focus on UniFirst customers on a daily basis for decades to come.”

Other members of UniFirst’s leadership team on hand for the July 10 ribbon-cutting ceremony included Croatti’s sons, Sr. Vice President Michael and Vice President of Engineering & Distribution Matthew Croatti. UniFirst President Steven Sintros also attended the opening at the new location, which is expected to employ 100 people to start and more than 200 in 2019, the release said.

Sintros said the new facility reflects UniFirst’s dedication to satisfying customer needs. He added that San Antonio is an excellent location for the center, given the high quality of the area’s workforce. “The UniFirst Corporate Support Services Center is a testament to the importance we place on the quality of sales and services that we deliver to our customers throughout the United States and Canada,” he said. “We’re excited to expand our footprint in the San Antonio area, where there’s a large pool of valuable talent to meet our staffing needs. The new center underscores our commitment to continually providing total customer satisfaction.”
