A group of Unitex staff recently engaged in outreach efforts to patients and staff at three New York-area children’s hospitals during the holiday season, according to a news release.
A group of up to seven Unitex volunteers visited with patients and staff last month at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Paterson, NJ; Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, Hackensack, NJ; and St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, Bayside, NY. The volunteers spread cheer during their visits by helping patients make holiday cards, stockings and distributing gifts, the release said.
“While giving back is important all year long, the holiday season is extra special,” said David Potack, vice president of Unitex, Mt. Vernon, NY. “It is an honor to work with these hospitals in such an important way and to be part of their holiday events. At Unitex, giving back is a huge part of our business model, and we are fortunate to have the partners to do this with, especially during this time of year.” Click here for details.
