Unitex and Mt. Sinai Hospital recently joined forces to help conquer heart disease, the No. 1 cause of death in New York. Unitex executives participated on Mt. Sinai’s team during the American Heart Association's Wall Street Run and Heart Walk, and also helped raise funds to support the cause. Together they have almost reached their goal of $50,000 and Unitex also is matching all donations made by company employees.

“At Unitex, we embrace programs that help build healthier lives,” said David Potack, vice president of sales and marketing, in a recent press release. “Since Mt. Sinai is a valued customer at Unitex, we are proud to support (and be a part of) their Heart Walk team, among other initiatives. We are excited to take part in this event that has such an impact on the New York community.”

The Heart Walk, American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds, also provides a fun day for families, encouraging physical activities and heart-healthy living.
