Unitex, Elmsford, NY, recently demonstrated its commitment to giving back to local communities by sponsoring an outreach program for sick children and their families at three New York-area hospitals, according to a news release.

Children at the three hospitals this summer received gifts, including bubble-blowing kits, crafts and treats, the release said. The hospitals involved in the program include Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, Hackensack, NJ; St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, Bayside, NY; and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Paterson, NJ. The outreach efforts are a part of an initiative called “Unitex Cares,” that focuses on charitable efforts throughout the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut).

“Having our annual Unitex activity is something both the children and staff look forward to,” said Victoria Falcone, manager of strategic partnerships at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children. “Unitex is a wonderful partner and supporter year round, and we are so grateful to have them as part of the St. Mary’s Kids family.” Click here to learn more.
