Village Startup: Botswana Laundry Entrepreneur

Posted August 2, 2016 at 4:56 pm

Kefilwe Dibotso learned the laundry business from the ground up during 15 years of working in a dry-cleaning business in Botswana. She’s now applying those skills by launching the “Clap Your Hands Laundry Services,” a home laundry in her village of Rungwana kgotla in Moshupa (about an hour southwest of the capital, Gaborone).

Most people in the village wash their own clothes. But Dibotso figured she could win them over to outsourcing by providing them with a convenient, high-quality service. After investing her personal savings into the business, she’s now doing just that, according to news reports. Click here for details.
