David Watterson, sr. vice president of international sales for Mountville Mills Inc., LaGrange, GA, recently gave a presentation on incident prevention at the Slips, Trips and Falls International Conference at the Mars Center in Toronto.

The gathering drew more than 150 attendees from Europe, Asia and Australia, plus North and South America, according to a news release. The conference on June 15-16 featured several international speakers and panel discussions reviewing all aspects of slip, trip and fall accidents. Topics on the agenda included assessing environmental risks, considerations of flooring, surfaces and footwear, plus strategies for pushing the boundaries of slip-and-fall investigations.

Watterson’s presentation was titled “Entranceway Floor Mats Prevent Accidents Before They Happen.” When the presentations were completed, the speakers broke into panel discussions, where they took questions and shared their knowledge with attendees.

After these sessions, attendees toured the state-of-the-art Slip, Trip and Fall Accident research laboratories at the University of Toronto.
