Century Linen, Up To Date Join Healthcare Linen Alliance

The Healthcare Linen Alliance recently announced the addition of two new members, Century Linen & Uniform, Gloversville, NY; and Up To Date Laundry, Baltimore, according to a news release. The presence of these two companies will increase the reach and coverage area of the Alliance, which now serves more than 120,000 hospital beds and more than 1,800 customers daily.

VPP Star: Cintas Gets Safety Certification in Boston

Cintas Corp. recently announced that its uniform rental location in Boston received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The announcement took place during a special ceremony at Cintas that included David Nangle, Massachusetts state representative; and Paul Cohen, Chelmsford town manager, according to a news release.

Magazine Survey: Incentive Winners Announced

TRSA’s NY Leg-Con Targets Congestion Pricing

TRSA members recently gathered in Albany, NY, for the association’s inaugural New York State Legislative Conference.  The conference was developed to support TRSA’s efforts to oppose congestion pricing, a proposed plan to add a charge of $25 or more per trip for delivery trucks entering Manhattan.

Mountville Unveils ‘M+A Matting’ Combo with Andersen Co.

Mountville Mills Inc., LaGrange, GA, recently announced the combining of its textile rental division (Mountville Mills) with its janitorial supply division (Andersen Co.). Both divisions had operated as subsidiaries of Mountville. Andersen focused on the direct-sale mat market since it was acquired in 1999, according to a news release. Going forward, the combined divisions will be known as M+A Matting.

Zero Waste: Cintas Certified at Dallas Distribution Center

Cintas Corp. recently announced that its distribution center in Dallas received Gold status under the TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) Zero Waste certification system administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Since Cintas launched its waste-reduction initiatives in 2013, it has had seven distribution locations certified, according to a news release.
