TRSA recently held its 9th Annual Legislative Conference on March 27-28 in Washington, DC. Several TRSA operator and associate member companies were honored with awards on the first night of the event, in addition to the usual slate of high-level meetings and speeches with well-known political pundits, members of the U.S. House and Senate, and key congressional staff members.
Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently announced that it is the first company to reach 100 sites with Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Cintas’ Dayton, OH, location became the company’s 100th location to receive VPP certification in early 2019, according to a news release.

TRSA recently held a webinar titled “Workplace Violence Prevention: What Every Employer Needs to Know” featuring Todd B. Logsdon, Esq., Fisher & Phillips LLP, Louisville, KY. The two main topics Logsdon focused on was understanding workplace violence and mitigating risks.

This honor is reserved for individuals who are active in TRSA and who recognize the competitive benefits and economic value to their companies of strengthening the industry. This year’s honors in that category for operators went to Liz Remillong, strategic alliance vice president, Crothall Healthcare, Chesterbrook, PA; for associates, honors went to Mike Diedling, retired applications engineering manager, Pellerin Milnor Corp., Kenner, LA.
A group of 50-plus TRSA members got an insider’s view of Washington politics and policy during three speaking engagements with Capitol Hill lawmakers that were part of the association’s 9th Annual Legislative Conference on March 28 in Washington, DC.
The International Textile Services Alliance (ITSA), a global community of executives from national and regional linen, uniform and facility services associations, will host the World Textile Services Congress (WTSC) on June 18-19, 2020, in Frankfurt, Germany, prior to Texcare International. The WTSC will build on the success and momentum of WTSC 2016 held in Bruges, Belgium, which attracted nearly 200 linen, uniform and facility services professionals.
Over 25 TRSA members in Texas recently attended TRSA’s 2nd Texas Legislative Conference in Austin. The Conference was developed to build legislative support for Texas HB-1089, authored and sponsored by State Rep. Drew Darby of San Angelo.
