TRSA Fire Safety Survey: Enhancing Safety in Commercial Laundries

TRSA will distribute a fire safety survey to TRSA operator members this week. Modeled after the United Kingdom’s Textile Services Association’s (TSA-UK) 2023 Fire Safety Study, the objective of the survey is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of fire safety practices within commercial laundries.

TRSA’s presence at the April 21-24 NAFA Institute & Expo (I&E) reflected the value of the associations’ partnership to serve each other’s memberships. TRSA conducted its first-ever Fleet Safety Summit at this event staged by the fleet management group, which drew 2,100 to San Antonio, TX. Members of both groups shared networking opportunities and benefited from each other’s expertise as audience members of NAFA education sessions and visitors to NAFA suppliers’ exhibits.

DOL Issues Final Overtime Rule

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) today issued its final rule altering the overtime regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The rule includes two-tiered increases to the minimum salary threshold and the threshold for highly compensated employees (HCEs) as well as automatic updates to both thresholds moving forward.
