TRSA members face a constant challenge: fighting for fair, balanced regulations and pro-business labor, tax, environmental and energy policies. All members and associates are welcome to engage in our Leadership & Legislative Conference consisting of meetings with congressional and regulatory leaders to exercise TRSA’s strength of our political force and participate in networking events.
The conference prepares you to “lobby” a member of Congress, updates you on federal issues important to TRSA and your business, and sends you to the Hill to make our industry heard. To improve your understanding of TRSA’s legislative priorities so you can present our positions to your Congressional representatives, we develop issue papers. Participants hand these out at their Capitol Hill destinations.
All TRSA committees meet at this Washington event as a means of facilitating these panels' projects and participation while engaging committee members in our advocacy with legislators. TRSA committee meetings cover new initiatives, committee member project assignments and discussion of operational and management issues. These working sessions lay the groundwork for TRSA advocacy, research and benchmarking, networking and information-sharing, and professional development activities to guide the industry.
