TRSA Vice President of Government Relations & Certification Kevin Schwalb and representatives from TRSA’s Healthcare Committee including Mike Lang, Unitex; and Liz Remillong, Crothall, will present sessions on Workwear in Healthcare: Linen Loss and Hidden Health Dangers and the Emerging Long-Term Care Market at the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA) 2018 Education Conference scheduled for July 25-27 at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, Ontario.

Alsco VP Earns ‘TRSA Operator Lifetime Achievement Award’

The Executive Committee of TRSA’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the nomination of Steve Larson, Alsco Inc., to receive the association’s highest honor, the TRSA Operator Lifetime Achievement Award. Larson will receive his TRSA Operator Lifetime Achievement Award during the TRSA Annual Awards Dinner on Oct. 17, in conjunction with the TRSA Annual Conference at the Meritage Resort & Spa, Napa, CA.

CA Lawmakers Kill Controversial Polyester Bill

Due largely to outreach efforts by TRSA, the California State Assembly recently voted down AB 2379 (the polyester bill) introduced by Assembly Member Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica), thus killing the legislation.
