About TRSA Committees

TRSA Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb brings New York regional meeting attendees up to speed on federal government initiatives affecting the industry as well as local matters in which TRSA counsel have become involved. The meeting took place on Nov. 3 as part of the Northeast leg of TRSA's Reopening Tour.

Values

TRSA Committees and Task Force participation offers valuable opportunities such as:

  • Collaborate with colleagues – both Operator and Supplier Partner members – who share common issues and/or market-segment interests
  • Opportunity to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the TRSA Board of Directors, directly impacting TRSA’s investment in research, resources, education and training, specifically
  • Aid in the development of educational content and keynote presentations for TRSA professional development programs, including conferences, summits and webinars
  • Assist in identifying topics and authors for our monthly Textile Services magazine
  • Examine issues and provide guidance to the association by serving on special task forces as managed by the Board of Directors

Membership

TRSA Committee Chairs are appointed by the elected TRSA Chair and approved by the Board of Directors. Committee members are selected by the Chair and subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Meetings

Committees and Task Forces meet either at a designated TRSA professional development event or another location, or via quarterly teleconference as coordinated by the Committee or Task Force Chair.

About TRSA Networks

TRSA's Marketing & Sales Committee was one of 10 committees that held meetings at the 11th Annual Legislative Conference & Industry Awards Dinner.

Values

The Board of Directors forms and maintains networks dedicated to professions (job functions or professions) or customer industry markets (such as Healthcare) or other core issues or areas of expertise recognized as significant to linen, uniform and facility services operations.

Networks are involved primarily in networking and information-sharing among network members. A network may supplement a committee’s work as a body exclusively dedicated to information-sharing and networking in the committee’s area of expertise.

For a network to function effectively and for participants to speak freely and openly, its discussions and deliberations of any sensitive information remain confidential within the network. No TRSA news or leadership report attributes any comments to any individuals.

Members

All individuals in networks are employees of TRSA member companies in good standing. Individuals self-appoint to network membership and retain membership permanently unless they resign or become inactive by failing to participate in network events or other activities.

Annual Membership Benefits

  • Dedicated virtual events and recommended in-person events
  • Annual compilations of articles from Textile Services or other business media especially relevant to the function (PDF or HTML)
  • Recommended private-publisher e-newsletter(s) related to network subject matter
  • Free registration for network Operator members presenting at TRSA in-person events
  • Notification of related subject matter to be covered in TRSA in-person events or virtual/in-person committee meetings
