Maglin/Biggie TRSA Lifetime Achievement Award

The TRSA Supplier Partner Lifetime Achievement Award is named for the late Rudolph A. “Rudy” Maglin, the chemical supplier who received the first such accolade in 2000; and James Biggie, the Coyne Textile Services executive who joined The Penn Companies. Rudy completed his career with Dober Group, predecessor of Spindle.

Receiving this accolade acknowledges exceptional service to the association by an executive of a Supplier Partner member company who has been an industry leader and TRSA supporter for decades. Lifetime winners support development and execution of TRSA programs that promote and protect the industry. They recognize the importance of TRSA events and media as neutral ground for sharing ideas that improve linen, uniform and facility services efficiency and foster the industry’s growth, setting competitive concerns aside for the common good of all members. In addition to participating themselves, they pave the way for their company personnel to be involved and lead TRSA activities.

Nominations for the 2024 Maglin/Biggie TRSA Lifetime Achievement Award are welcome and due by December 1, 2024.

Criteria

A nominee must have served the Association and Industry without regard to the improvement of the Supplier Partner Member’s own company in ways such as (but not limited to):

Participating on TRSA committees and task forces
Serving on the Supplier Partner Council
Serving on the TRSA Board of Directors
Providing articles to Textile Services Magazine
Presenting at TRSA conferences or other meetings
Teaching at TRSA Institutes such as MMI, PMI, and EMI
Assisting in the writing of TRSA manuals and handbooks
Working with TRSA members to improve their processes to the betterment of their companies

Nomination & Selection Processes

Nomination Process

TRSA Operator and Supplier Partner members may nominate individuals they feel are deserving of the Maglin/Biggie TRSA Lifetime Achievement Award. Applications, in the form of a nomination, must include a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to the industry and be submitted through the official nomination form. Any TRSA member (Supplier Partner or Operator) may nominate. References are required. Self nominations are not accepted.

Nominations for the 2024 Maglin/Biggie TRSA Lifetime Achievement Award are welcome and due by December 1, 2024.

Selection Process

Once the nomination period has closed, the TRSA Supplier Partner Council will review all nominations and select one or more individual to receive the Maglin/Biggie TRSA Lifetime Achievement Award based on the provided criteria.
