The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee helps develop, promote strategies and best practices within the realms of racial, social, sexual, and gender diversity.
The Human Resources Network mission statement is to provide an executive forum to promote the exchange of knowledge, to serve as a resource for best practices, and to ensure the textile rental industry is recognized as a great place to work.
Current Projects
Professional Development, Networking & Information-Sharing
DEI sponsored webinars to engage members on feeling comfortable while having difficult/crucial conversations, create a better understanding of diversity issues as well as assist membership through accessible training and education to help eliminate all biases based on personal characteristics and perceptions.
The committee is working closely with the TRSA to help develop session topics and content for EMI, PMI, MMI, Annual and Healthcare conferences.
The committee & network guides programming for the HR, Health & Safety Summit, an annual event that unites these industry professionals to discuss best management practices in these fields. Presenters and participants share information important to daily HR operations, covering the latest issues in employment law, recruiting, retention and more.
HR-focused webinars and virtual roundtable discussions are facilitated by the group as well as the committee working closely with TRSA to help develop session topics and content for EMI, PMI, MMI, Annual and Healthcare conferences.

Surveys and Benchmarking
The committee periodically surveys members on a variety of topics, such as drug testing, employee screening tactics, absenteeism & company attendance policies, route driver compensation, T&E and gift policies, HR staffing, voluntary terminations and profit sharing. Each year, the committee prepares the Plant Employee Compensation Report, which benchmarks differences in pay and benefits between various types of linen, uniform and facility services operations for the range of exempt and non-exempt positions.
