Microsoft Japan’s Three-Day Weekends Fuel Productivity

Through efforts to increase job satisfaction, Microsoft Japan set out to improve work-life balance with the addition of three-day weekends. The results have benefitted the company, according to an article from the Metro website.

While employees worked 20% less, they became 40% more productive in their four-day work week. With the incentive of a long weekend, people spent less time in meetings and focused on completing their tasks before the end of the week.
