Quick Response Limits Damage in New Zealand Plant Fire

An effective fire-suppression system, coupled with prompt action by area firefighters helped contain a blaze that broke out earlier this year at a recently built Alsco Uniforms plant at Richmond, near Nelson, according to news reports. With help from the plant’s sprinkler system, firefighters quickly brought under control a fire that had started in a couple of carts of linen in the Estuary Place building.
