In August of 2003, TRSA President & CEO Roger Cocivera asked for my assistance in restructuring TRSA’s Human Resources Committee. Roger felt that the committee was in a state of flux. Members were leaving for other committees; some were leaving the industry altogether. He was concerned that the committee could dissipate, so he shared his vision and presented me with an opportunity to make a difference. Subsequently, with the support and encouragement of David Stern, president and CEO of Paris Companies, I immediately assumed leadership of the HR Committee.
