A Commitment to Safety—’05 OSHA Violations Down

For the first time in the new millennium, the number of Department of Labor (DOL) workplace inspections and resulting federal violations issued in 2005 decreased in the linen supply and industrial laundry sectors of the textile service industry.
 
The DOL’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently released its 2005 enforcement figures and received its 2007 proposed budget from the White House. Together, these documents provide insight into current workplace safety and health enforcement trends, as well as possible future areas of focus.
