TRSA and UTSA have agreed to work together on an NPE Reduction Initiative. This effort will be incorporated into LaundryESP®’s Wash Chemicals goal. This strictly voluntary program will encourage reductions in the use of NPE (nonylphenol ethoxolates) and the increased use of alternatives.

We also will jointly apply to EPA’s Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI), which recognizes companies that voluntarily phase out NPE, as well as associations that actively encourage their members to reduce the use of this surfactant.
